Whether you are a placing broker or an insurer, Maules are able to demonstrate a good understanding of policy issues, Although we are known as specialists in subsidence work we are also familiar with the issues arising out of flood, fire, impact, earthquake and storm from the technical perspective. We also have experience in audit work and resolving difficult and contentious dispute cases.

Private Clients

Householders sometimes require the services of an engineer or surveyor. Typically instructions relate to small structural alterations, house condition surveys, party wall issues and occasionally specific defects such as dampness, roof conversions, bowing walls and sagging floors. Depending on the type of work required, fixed fee arrangements can be put in place but for the majority of commissions, we charge an hourly rate.

Litigation

We are able to accept instructions from Solicitors who require qualified expert opinions in relation to building damage. We are familiar with preparing expert reports for litigation, predominantly in connection with subsidence recoveries but also in professional negligence claims.
